Electric guitar:

Ibanez Roadstar II, RS205WH (1983)

Several modifications by myself:
- original pick-up switch (5 positions) replaced with
separate switches per pick-up, gives me the extra
combination between the bridge and neck pick-up.
- single-coil bridge pick-up replaced with a humbucker.
- extra switch added (between the phase-switch and
the jack-plug) for a cable-driver (enables the use of
cables longer than 6 meters without losing any high
- original black volume and tone dials replaced with
white ones.




Line6 Toneport UX2

Double PreAmp for guitar, bass or microphones (incl. 48V phantom power) with sound modeling via the Gearbox-software. With this preamp you can not just convert an analog signal from e.g. the guitar to a digital signal, but you can also model the sound to your liking, by specifying the amplifier brand, the type of speaker cabinet and the make and placing of the recording mike.
Oh yes: and a wide range of stompbox effects as well.
This will provide you with a broad range of guitar sounds.





Line6 Variax Acoustic 700 Natural

The Variax Acoustic 700 provides Line 6's patent-pending guitar modeling technology to offer guitarists instant access to the sounds of a variety of steel-string acoustic, nylon-string classical, resonator and arch-top guitars, as well as non-guitar stringed instruments, 16 in total.

Beyerdynamic DT 770/2005

New version of a legendary set of headphones.
Closed system, so no interference by ambient noise.
Maximum SPL: 96dB.
Frequency response: 5Hz to 35.000Hz, linear, so extremely well-suited for use as mixdown monitor. Innovative bass-reflex system. These headphones are made for recording technicians and professional musicians.
Comes with a three meter cable, attached to one side,
and with an 3,5/6,35mm addapter and a leather case.

Use: Monitoring at composing, recording and mixing.





Recording set-up

Recording and mixing is done with a PC (Windows-XP), using Adobe Audition and using Dynaudio Acoustics BM5A near field monitors. Some mastering is done with T-Racks. Writing the songs is done with Sonar 6, with the drums coming from Drumkit From Hell.
